Thoughts on Masks and Science
I’m always recommending that masks be considered for all crowded indoor events. I got covid recently and had to cancel a show. If I had worn a mask for a previous two hour indoor gathering it would have been an inconvenience but not as much as an inconvenience of being sick (with covid, flu, a cold) for a week and missing out. Getting a cold might be inevitable but why do it on purpose in situations where the chances are much higher of being infected, like at crowded indoor events. - Your own Germaphobe - Cousin Corky :-)
Knowing the odds in a world that makes us all gamblers.
I am convinced, that science, even with its inconsistencies, still offers the best odds — as a tool in this life — for making our best choices. The inconsistencies also exist in alternatives — with less guard rails. If am going for an alternative, at least I will give medical science a chance to have my back. Please make sure you are up to date and ready for treatment if it is recommended by your doctor. Again - Science isn’t perfect but it brought us the iPhone, your ability to read sent messages like this as they travel through space and time to you, … and a few other conveniences . - Corky
