The CD includes 40 minutes of music and 20 minutes of an audiobook style narration by me, telling the amazing, unbelievable story of symphonic blues, also written in the liner notes.
The CD packaging includes a 6 page cover package, 24 page booklet, a personalized inscription card, conductor’s score of the first three movements, and at least 5 more digital albums..
You can listen free, or download, or purchase the CD package right here, to have, to hold, to read, to hug, to cherish, and to keep you company. And I will join you in your space by signing and dating the package.
Symphonic Blues No. 6, is the 1st recording of this genre in over five decades that gives blues and classical equal partnership resulting in two seemingly opposite and unique characters chasing each other around the room in a joyous romp. In this case with members of the Chicago Symphony and other orchestras locally and around the world featuring your cousin Corky as guest blues harmonica soloist as well as the production team and the community of supporters. The first two (William Russo works) from the 70s recorded on Deutsche Grammophon were considered to be American Classics and were major selling albums. If you already have listened to Symphonic Blues No. 6, you will already know it takes us places we’ve never been before.
Shipping is $5 total for any order with one or many items. US only. Shipping begins on 11/29/2024
Once the order comes in, I will forward the links to the Corky library of at least 5 other digital albums as well as digital version of SymBlu6.
Why free listening? Why $50 for the CD package? I’m offering all the music I own for free. Free? The music industry has acquired great skill in finding ways to offer the artist’s works for almost nothing. And in some ways that’s a good thing. But I figured, why let them do that when I can give it away for free myself. LOL! $50 for a CD? This project took me a year to compose and a year to produce. The community of fans paid for most of it. I never intended to profit from this. But that’s not the point. The artist’s recorded music has been devalued for so long. I’m putting the value back on. I hope I’m followed. On most of my projects you will be able to find lower costs, but when you purchase from the artist you are helping to support their works, and you are going against the trends of the music industry that are quite effective at leaving the artist out of the equation.
